Systematize innovation through applied design thinking
This training combines analytical and intuitive thinking to teach you how to leverage collective intelligence by putting into practice what you have learned from the design thinking method. Our course will teach you how to facilitate a workshop as well as how to frame and solve various issues creatively to propel your team to a higher level of innovation. The objective of this training is to give you confidence in your ability to lead a productive workshop and to equip you with the necessary tools to do so.
What is design thinking?
Design thinking is an iterative process of problem solving. Focused on the research and identification of alternative solutions and strategies, this approach puts forward logic as much as intuition and creativity. Design thinking first seeks to understand its user by observing him/her with the goal of developing a sense of empathy and understanding of needs. This method constantly questions what is taken for granted in order to approach and solve issues in an innovative way, sometimes leading to new solutions to problems that were previously impossible to solve.
Skills to be developed
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to :
- Understand the basics of facilitation: role, posture and challenges of the facilitator;
- Choose the appropriate exercises to use in a workshop based on the context, team objective, number of participants, project scope and constraints;
- Organize and facilitate collaborative workshops in a results-oriented approach;
- Facilitate the collective intelligence of a team and create the conditions for the emergence of innovative solutions;
- Facilitate team decision-making, to avoid stagnation and instead move projects forward.
